First of all, I’m delighted by the quality and the delivery speed. I was set to order my usual size (26/28), but noticed that when I entered it, several of my measurements didn’t match the standard (I think it’s a great feature to display the measurements they use on the order screen). I seem to be all over the size chart, so I entered custom measurements. My dress required a couple of alterations, but I was prepared for that.
I ordered my dress with the “classic Igigi surplice”, elbow length sleeves, and full length.
The fabric is beautiful and the dress is nicely lined. It is really comfortable, so I’m going to be rocking the dance floor at my nephew’s wedding. The neckline is such that I don’t have to wear a special bra - I can wear it with a standard plunge bra I already have. I’m going to wear Spanx because I would anyway, but I could get away with not wearing shape wear in this dress.
My two negatives: I ordered it with the original neckline which shows lace overlapping the neckline. My dress arrived with a straight neckline, with the lace stopping at the seam. I’m disappointed because this dress could definitely use the drama that the lacy neckline adds. Also, I ordered full length and it doesn’t reach the floor. Maybe it’s my fault for assuming that meant floor length but I would have liked the option to wear heels at this event and now I have to wear flats. I can’t remember if you can add requests when ordering, but next time I will ask for a lengthened hem (I would hesitate to give an exaggerated height measurement because I don’t know if that would make the dress disproportional.)
Overall, I would recommend Igigi to a friend and I will order again.
I bought the red Francesca dress years ago. I received many compliments. I am returning to get the black. This is a must have in your closet!
I am always hesitant to order things online, especially at this price point. But this dress grabbed my heart and I fell in love. So I was hoping for the best when I ordered it and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!The material is so soft , flowey and lightweight!! Very flattering and hides what needs to be hidden and accentuates my assets. It needs a few nips and tucks and hemmed before my September cruise, but that is just because I ordered a size up. Delivery was super fast too!!I I would not hesitate to order from Igigi again! I can’t wait to wear it!!! Picture to follow soon.
