When I typed in 'vintage plus size wedding dress' this exact gown was the first picture I saw (circa August 2014) and I fell in love. I ordered it before my husband proposed and wore it in October 2015. I have since had gastric bypass surgery and will have the skirt constructed into a wearable for a vow renewal!
This dress is lovely. It hangs perfectly, is incredibly comfortable and compliments my curves. I absolutely love this dress. However, I am annoyed that I paid for a custom dress and the sleeves were shorter than requested. I requested bracelet length and received something way shorter. I wanted to use it as a wedding gown but will have to opt for something else as I can’t have a seamstress lengthen the sleeve.
This dress is GORGEOUS. I wore it to a gala and had compliments all night. I have a Igigi dresses and they are above and beyond for beauty !!! Love love love

First of all, I’m delighted by the quality and the delivery speed. I was set to order my usual size (26/28), but noticed that when I entered it, several of my measurements didn’t match the standard (I think it’s a great feature to display the measurements they use on the order screen). I seem to be all over the size chart, so I entered custom measurements. My dress required a couple of alterations, but I was prepared for that.
I ordered my dress with the “classic Igigi surplice”, elbow length sleeves, and full length.
The fabric is beautiful and the dress is nicely lined. It is really comfortable, so I’m going to be rocking the dance floor at my nephew’s wedding. The neckline is such that I don’t have to wear a special bra - I can wear it with a standard plunge bra I already have. I’m going to wear Spanx because I would anyway, but I could get away with not wearing shape wear in this dress.
My two negatives: I ordered it with the original neckline which shows lace overlapping the neckline. My dress arrived with a straight neckline, with the lace stopping at the seam. I’m disappointed because this dress could definitely use the drama that the lacy neckline adds. Also, I ordered full length and it doesn’t reach the floor. Maybe it’s my fault for assuming that meant floor length but I would have liked the option to wear heels at this event and now I have to wear flats. I can’t remember if you can add requests when ordering, but next time I will ask for a lengthened hem (I would hesitate to give an exaggerated height measurement because I don’t know if that would make the dress disproportional.)
Overall, I would recommend Igigi to a friend and I will order again.
